This is an unmolested example that is very original. It was purchased 55 years ago by the previous owner in Creek Grove, CA as his 40th birthday present. He was a corvette enthusiast who had many different ones throughout his life. This 1962 was his favorite one that he had for the longest time. He goes on to pass away a few years ago leaving his son with the car. His son felt guilty not driving it enough and decided it needed a new home. The majority of services done were by his father, he kept a detailed log of the things he went through. This vehicle is set up to a driver, it's not a show car by any means but rather an honest original corvette. It is powered by its original, numbers matching 327 V-8 engine paired with a manual 4-speed transmission. It has a new carburetor, fuel pump, hoses, and many new components in the undercarriage. Mechanically it runs and drives excellent. The motor is very healthy, sounds great and has plenty of power. Transmission shifts smoothly through all gears. The clutch, brakes, and steering are all in good working order. The speedometer was making a whining noise so i disconnected it for now, it will need a new cable. Remainder of the gauges and lights seem to be in working order. Watch the video and see the car for yourself! Tires are in great shape, along with mostly new suspension. No previous accidents, no previous rust, this car is as honest as can be. Original black CA plates.
